OVERVIEW
Contemplating the establishment of a society characterized by heightened emotional transparency prompts us to explore the potential advantages and disadvantages that such a heightened level of emotional openness might entail.
HOW IT WORKS
AlgoMe gathers emotional responses from facial expressions, keyboard inputs, and audio cues, updating this data every 24 hours. Through the front camera, it visualizes six primary emotions on the user's face using colored augmented reality (AR) filters. This innovative feature effectively creates a real-time mirror of emotion detection. Please refer to the Figma prototype for a visual demonstration here.
BACKGROUND
Despite advancements in smartphone technology, emotions largely remain an enigma. AlgoMe invites users to envision a futuristic society characterized by emotional transparency, where issues like racial bias, overstimulation, dopamine addiction, and other concealed or potentially embarrassing subconscious emotional responses are destigmatized.
